During week 38, 2019 (from 16 to 21 September, 2019), pangasius price remains low and stays almost the same as last week. If we take Vietfish 2019 as the milestone for our comparison, the current price is the same as the one before the show despite much expectation from producers and exporters that the demand might pick up towards the end of the year. Also, this week, producers and exporters are arranging shipments to China as quickly as possible before China goes on its National holiday, which might last for a week from 1 to 7 October, 2019.

Pangasius material maintains its low level at around 19,000 to 20,000 Vietnam Dong per kilogram – its 10 year low, which was recorded last July. As the demand is still not too heavy in generally, pangasius price is believed not to make any breakthrough in the next few coming weeks.
