Last October, 2019, the seven-day 2020 Tet holiday plan was approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. Government officers and workers will, accordingly, be on vacation from January 23rd to 29th, 2020, which is from December 29th to January 5th on the Lunar calendar.
The Tet holiday plan was approved by the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the proposal of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) with five prescribed holidays and two compensatory holidays due to the 1st and 2nd days of the holiday fall on Saturday and Sunday.

PM Phuc asked agencies and units to arrange work based on their plans and schedule during the holidays to ensure the fulfillment of their tasks and serve the people. On the other hand, agencies and organizations that do not take regular holidays on Saturdays and Sundays will coordinate their work based on their own schedule.
