Vietnam Fisheries International Exhibition (VIETFISH) 2019 took place for three days from August 29th to 31th, 2019 with 236 exhibitors of several seafood and food products together with machinery from countries worldwide and approximately 16,000 visitors. This year's show happened almost the same time with World Seafood Shanghai (SIFSE) 2019 lasting for 3 days from August 28th to 30th, which explains why there were barely Chinese customers and visitors at VIETFISH 2019.

Pangasius producers and exporters had this great expectation before VIETFISH 2019 that this even could, to a certain extent, encourage the demand for this fish and orders should be closed accordingly. Yet, right after the show and the National holiday in Vietnam (September 2nd), the updated prices Silvera Food got from at least 3 packers in the Mekong Delta stay almost the same as it was before the show, or increases very slightly with some sizes. The price is expected to remain stable within this week (Sep 3rd to 7th).
